The eye lift operation

The eyelift procedure is relatively simple and can be performed under local or general anesthesia. The doctor marks out the skin on the upper eyelid so that the final scar will be hidden when the eye is open.

On the lower eyelid, the scar is very close underneath the eyelashes and extends out onto the crease line. The type of surgery performed depends on the exact underlying problems but most procedures take about 1 or 2 hours and recovery about a week.
